Pet brand Woof has announced the appointment of Steve Ball as chief executive officer (CEO). Ball brings more than 10 years of experience in building and scaling early stage consumer products companies in the pet industry.
Ball previously served as CEO of Zesty Paws and “I and Love and You“-Pet Care. In his new role, Ball will continue to grow the Woof team and brand infrastructure. He will work closely with founder Daniel Haarburger to increase brand awareness and expand the company's retail and e-commerce presence.
“With nearly 15 years of experience in the pet industry, I have seen first-hand the importance of filling market gaps with meaningful innovation. Woof's commitment to solving long-standing challenges for pet parents is what sets the brand apart“, said Ball. “I look forward to working with Daniel and the Woof team to continue to reach new heights in e-commerce, retail and product innovation.“
This appointment follows a year of massive growth for Woof, which says it has grown by over 6 000 per cent in the last four years. The company has launched several new products and expanded its retail presence to more than 7 500 stores, including REI, Petsmart and Tractor Supply, which are represented nationwide and are expected to drive trade growth of 30 to 50 per cent.
