Alwin Hübers gained his first experience of the industry in his parents' factory, the Rheinkrone feed concentrate plant Gebrüder Hübers. After working there for some years, he set up on his own in Brünen. With his entrepreneurial flair and his nose for market trends, he steadily developed the company and made many friends in the pet sector with his sociable nature and readiness to help out.
Following the takeover by his son Malte and Alexander Gerards in 2006, Alwin Hübers' lifetime achievement is a medium-sized, globally active company with a workforce of around 100 people.
"With the death of Alwin Hübers we have lost a figure to whom we owe a great deal. He will always remain a role model for us and we will remember him with gratitude," was the statement issued by Dr. Clauder's as part of his obituary.
