Lagerhaus stores grow by 0.5 per cent

The Lagerhaus stores in Austria recorded only modest growth last year, with sales increasing by 0.5 per cent to 645 mio euros in 2018. The stores are operated by the Lagerhaus cooperatives, which have merged into RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria. Sales of building materials rose by 2.2 per cent to 718 mio euros.
The central sales of RWA in the construction and garden categories, along with building materials, came to 110 mio euros. This equates to a decline of 49.8 per cent, although this was the result of new accounting rules according to IFRS. Adjusted for these effects, sales revenue increased by 2.1 per cent, according to the company.
