The Intratuin chain of garden centres is currently planning a new mega-project in Duiven

The Intratuin chain of garden centres is currently planning a new mega-project in Duiven. The focal point of the new garden centre is expected to be the central entrance hall and roof, 15 m wide and 15 m high. This plaza is to have a curved steel construction finished in green, helping to create a special atmosphere and the kind of retail experience that characterizes cosmopolitan shopping malls. Consumers can enter the 16,000 m² garden centre to the left of the 1,800 m² plaza, while to the right there will be other shops in a two-storey retail area covering 13,000 m², including a Gamma DIY store. Construction is expected to commence this autumn and the complex is scheduled to open in March 2006. Greenhouse builder Thermoflor has been commissioned to handle the construction side of the project.
