Italian company Feberplast of Bertiolo presents a range of articles for dogs and cats with its “Comfort” collection. The “Comfort” line is characterized by high quality and variety, and features pure cotton covers that are washable. The fillings consist of a hypoallergenic synthetic material.
The large range of “Potter” beddings (picture) comes in six sizes. The beddings feature elegant patterns and have a classic and comfortable design.
The “Ring” bedding is surely a very original design. The pet can lie down on the comfortable central cushion, which is surrounded by a soft padded ring. “Ring” is available in three diffe-rent sizes: 50x16 cm, 60x16 cm and 75x16 cm.
"Igloo” bedding features an attractive design of coloured patterns and is available in two different sizes. The pet can rest on a comfortable padded cushion inside the little house. Sizes: 35x40x36 cm and 38x45x39 cm.
“Percy” is a carrier designed to take small cats and dogs. The shoulder belts of strong synthetic material also make it very practical and safe. Its dimensions are 45x32x28 cm.
“Matte” is a rectangular, brightly coloured mattress containing a thick, dense padding. “Matte” is available in two different sizes.
“Nevil” is a soft quilted cushion, covered with cotton fabric. Available in six sizes (56x36x8 up to 102x75x10 cm).
“Ron” is a soft cushion that is rectangular in shape, featuring bright, cheerful patterns. It comes in sizes of 55x90x16 cm and 75x115x16 cm.
The “Magic” cover/bedding is lined with a bright patchwork and is available either in 100 % cotton or with the inside covered with soft plush. The dimensions are 52x60x6 cm (closed) and 73x83x6 cm (open).
“Egypt” is a small house in a striking design and colours. It has a pyramidal shape, with a small opening through which the pet can enter. Its dimensions are 43x43x35 cm.
All Natural
“Alternative Companion Diets” is the latest line of pet foods from American company Natural Life Pet Products, Girard (KS). The first formula in the series is “Venison Meal & Rice Dog Formula”. The company wants to bring to the market a higher quality, more palatable and less expensive venison meal & rice diet than that offered by the leading brand. “Venison Meal & Rice Dog Formula” is a maintenance diet formulated to help avoid dry, itchy and flaky skin, which is common among dogs with allergies to specific foods. Approximately 1 in 10 dogs suffer from allergies. The most typical allergens in food are: wheat, corn, soy, dairy products, yeast, beef and pork. In addition, many dogs suffer an intolerance to gluten. This formula may help these pets with special dietary needs.
Secure dog lead
German company Dog Control of Leopoldshöhe has launched a new range of dog leads in which a textile sheath that offers a comfortable grip conceals a patented adapter, which fits quickly and easily into virtually any car safety belt lock worldwide. If the dog owner should leave the vehicle for a brief period, he can thus secure the dog in the car without restricting its freedom of movement. However, the attachment prevents the dog from being able to jump into the front of the car and leave muddy pawmarks on the seats and dashboard. During the journey, the pet can also be secured in a harness in combination with this lead system. The new lead comes in three styles and four colours: as a 100 cm “City lead“, which can be shortened to 66 cm, with a double-cushioned grip in a 25 mm material width, and as a “Vario-lead“, adjustable up to 220 cm and in material widths 15 and 25 mm.
Collar and lead combination
A lead combined with a dog collar has been deve-loped by Dog Control, the German company based in Leopoldshöhe. The introductory set comes in nylon, in a range of bright colours and sizes. The company states that the new product is being offered in an attractively designed “interactive“ packa-ging.
New sales concept
Dacapo-Matador Pet Products, part of the Dutch SiberHegner Group, introduced a new concept for the sale of “Premium Quality Dogchews”: They are being marketed under the “Laika” brand and are now also available in Holland, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Sales support is provided in the shape of an attractive display and promotional material and a free sample. The chews come in natural, honey, chicken and ham flavour to offer variety. Natural chews enriched with Omega oils and Vitamin E as well as calcium are also available. All “Laika” chews come in hygienic promotional packaging.
Variation in the diet
Witte Molen is offering new “Nature Select“ menus for rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs. The Super-Premium single food now comes in a practical upright pouch, and the menu varieties for rabbits and rodents are said to be tailored to the specific requirements of the different animals, containing all the necessary vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Depending on the flavour, different ingredients are added to a species-specific mix of over 20 different basic ingredients. The “Nature Select“ menu for rabbits comes in four flavours (“Fruit“, “Green“ containing vegetables, “Gourmet“ with herbs and “Muesli“). And the “Nature Select“ menu for hamsters and guinea pigs features “Green“ with vegetables and “Gourmet“ with herbs.
The Nutrafin CO2 Natural System, a brand produced by Hagen, introduces a CO2 system that is based on the principle of alcoholic fermentation. It provides planted aquariums (max. 180 litres) with the optimum amount of CO2 and guarantees the correct pH value for the healthy growth of plants and fish. After having been produced by a natural process in the fermenter, the gas in the reactor can then dissolve in the water. More reliable than similar systems which work on the principle of yeast fermentation, and totally independent of technically costly systems involving refill bottles of CO2, it provides even beginners at aquarium-keeping with a fully functioning and reasonably priced solution for maintaining planted aquariums. Special technical features include the thermal regulation and “No risk” safety system on the lid of the fermenter, which prevent an unwanted build-up of pressure during the fermentation process, and an additional device to ensure the optimum dissolution of CO2 in the water. Further advantages include easy handling, optimum dosage and automatic regulation of the constant production of micro-bubbles, and reusable fermenter. A refill pack of the natural fermentation components lasts about 30 days.
