Factory to close

According to press reports, Nestlé Purina Petcare is to close its plant in Barrhead, Scotland, by the end of the year. It is the company’s only site in Scotland and produces canned pet food. The company cited the factory’s limited technical capacity and the fall in demand for canned pet food as reasons for the closure.
