France is getting a new garden trade fair. The first Jlee will be staged in June 2004

From next year there is going to be a new garden trade fair in France. The first Jlee will open for business in the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre between 21 and 23 June 2004. The organising company, Agor, is the French subsidiary of the Emap group and a sister company of the UK firm Trade Promotion Services, which organises Glee in Birmingham. Named as the two main product areas are gardening, including live plants, and the outdoor living segment. Products for the pet care market are also included in the assortment. The new Jlee fair is intended to appeal principally to those with responsibility for garden centres, DIY stores, agricultural outlets, supermarkets, builders’ merchants and horticulturists. The organisers want to reach companies throughout Europe, and especially in the Benelux countries, Switzerland, Italy, and the Iberian peninsula, in addition to exhibitors and visitors from France. The fair is sponsored by Promojardin, the French association of manufacturers and retailers in the green sector. Garden centre operators including Gamm Vert and Truffaut have also come out in favour of the new fair.
