Red Sea Fish Pharm will continue to produce Dupla products

According to a press release of the Red Sea Fish Pharm Ltd., the company’s acquisition of the trademarks and international marketing rights for the internationally renowned „Dupla“ range of aquarium products is in accordance with an agreement of September 2002 with Dupla’s former general manager, Jörg Plöger. As the Israeli company writes, Red Sea has acquired all of Dupla’s know-how and production equipment including formulas, technical specifications, plastic injection moulds etc. necessary to produce the entire “Dupla” product range. According to Red Sea the company holds the exclusive license from Kaspar Horst to produce and market the “DuplaPlant” and “DuplaPlant 24” range of fertilizers. The press release of Red Sea was in response of announcements made by Dohse Aquaristik following its purchase of the residual assets of the insolvent Dupla Aquaristik GmbH. According to Eli Nissenberg, managing director of the Red Sea Group, Red Sea shall continue to produce “Dupla” products. “Red Sea is currently taking the necessary steps to end the public dispute over trademark and marketing rights, to the ultimate benefit of the loyal ‘Dupla’ consumers.”
